June 29, 2003   WERA Sportsman Series - Barber Motorsports Park

David Skiles had a good weekend at WERA's first ever event at Barber. His Yamaha TZ 250 may be the perfect bike for this track or at least the most fun bike. David took his customary win in Vintage 7 and backed that up with fifth in F2 Expert.

June 8, 2003   WERA Sportsman Series - Roebling Road Raceway

Robby Card is getting the new Kawasaki 636 dialed in. He romped to four expert class wins over the weekend! He used the Kaw for wins in C Superbike, C Superstock, and the Mediumweight Solo 20, while taking his Aprillia 250 to the D Superstock victory.

May 10, 2003   NESBA Track Day - Barber Motorsports Park

The general consensus is that Barber is a fantastic track, but you may have a hard time learning it real well in just one day. If you have the time and money, sign up for a two-day event. (Photos of our adventure)

April 27, 2003   WERA Sportsman Series - Talladega Grand Prix Raceway

David Skiles took his first win of the year in Vintage 7 on his nimble 1995 TZ250. He took the same bike to a strong second place against the newer bikes in the Formula II Expert race.
Robby "Cardshark" Card rode his Aprillia 250 to second place in D Superstock Ex.

March 23, 2003   WERA Sportsman Series - Roebling Road Raceway

Jimmy Allmon proved he's got some serious roadracing skills by taking the win in the Heavyweight Twins Novice class. He decimated the field, gapping his pursuers by the full length of the straightaway by the end of the eight lap race. And Roebling Road has a looong straightaway.

Even more impressive, this was only his second race weekend, including the required WERA racing school weekend....oh yea, he won the racing school "mock race" as well. What did he do after graduation? These photos are from Talladega (2/9/03) where he made the podium in his first race, taking third place in HWT!

Robby Card also took a win in D Superbike Expert on his Aprillia 250. This is not really "news", as Robby seems to win a lot.
